Want to use meal time as an opportunity to assert your pack leader status?

A common training method suggests that families eat their dinner before feeding the dog in order to assert their superior status. There’s no need for such elaborate timing. Just prepare the dogs meal, but then enjoy a small snack of your own, before putting the bowl down on the ground. NB! Do not challenge or tease the dog, while you are eating your snack.
